LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

Will of Ms Ananya Rao

I, Ms Ananya Rao, child of Late Madhav Rao, born on 14 March 1988 and residing at 18 Seabreeze Lane, Bandra West, Mumbai 400050, declare that I am of sound mind and am acting voluntarily. As at the date of this Will, I have never been married and have no biological or legally adopted children. I make this document as my Last Will and Testament.

Revocation. I revoke all wills and codicils previously made by me.

Executor. I appoint Mr Arjun Mehta, residing at 42 Cedar View Road, Camp, Pune 411001, as executor of this Will. If he is unable or unwilling to act, I appoint Ms Nisha Rao, residing at 7 Lotus Court, Indiranagar, Bengaluru 560038, as substitute executor.

Fixed cash gifts. After payment of my legally enforceable debts, funeral expenses and administration expenses, I direct my executor to make the following cash gifts:

  1. ₹1,00,000 to my friend Mr Kabir Sen, of 9 Palm Grove, Alipore, Kolkata 700027.
  2. ₹2,00,000 to my friend Ms Tara Desai, of 31 Riverwalk Apartments, Ahmedabad 380006.
  3. ₹5,00,000 to Savera Learning Foundation, a fictional charitable organisation having its fictional registered office at 12 Udaan Marg, Jaipur 302004 and sample registration number SAMPLE/2015/0042.

If my estate is insufficient to pay all these cash gifts in full after payment of my legally enforceable debts and expenses, the cash gifts shall be reduced proportionately. If a recipient does not survive me, or the organisation has ceased to exist when its gift becomes payable, that gift shall form part of my residuary estate.

Residuary estate. After payment of my legally enforceable debts, funeral expenses, administration expenses and the fixed cash gifts stated above, I give all property and interests legally capable of disposition by me and not otherwise effectively disposed of under this Will as follows:

Division of the residuary estate

  • 35%to my sister, Ms Nisha Rao, of 7 Lotus Court, Indiranagar, Bengaluru 560038.
  • 25%to my brother, Mr Rohan Rao, of 55 Banyan Avenue, Panaji, Goa 403001.
  • 20%to my adult nephew, Mr Ved Rao, of 55 Banyan Avenue, Panaji, Goa 403001.
  • 20%to my adult niece, Ms Myra Rao, of 55 Banyan Avenue, Panaji, Goa 403001.
